EB-4 Special Immigrant Employment Visas
EB-4 employment visas are reserved for a wide range of "special immigrants" in the following subcategories:
- Religious Workers
- Iraqi/Afghan Translators
- Iraqis Who Have Assisted the United States
- International Organization Employees
- Armed Forces Members
- Panama Canal Zone Employees
- Retired NATO-6 Employees
- Spouses and Children of Deceased NATO-6 Employees
Sponsoring employer requirement
For most EB-4 visas, an employer is required to file the petition. Some situations, however, allow an individual to self-petition for a visa.
Benefits for family members
Spouses and minor children under 21 of EB-4 visa holders may also be admitted to the United States.
